Use the information provided for each individual to complete the assessment. Refer to the grading rubric which provides the requirements of the assessment.

  1. Explain the dietary issue and/or goal indicated in each case study.
  2. Explain how the dietary issue and/or goal negatively affects health.
  3. Use the current one-day diet to obtain a computer-generated analysis using one of the websites listed on the learning resources page. From this analysis, list and explain the trouble spots for each individual’s diet that are contributing to their condition.
  4. Create a new two-day diet which will manage or eliminate your chosen dietary issue/goal based on nutritional recommendations (macro/micro/servings size/food groups).
  5. Explain why and how the changes you made in the new two-day diet will improve health.
  6. You will need to include the computer-generated dietary analysis of the current and the new diets. (Include the entire analysis as created: copy and paste or attach as a separate document. Do not just type in some of the information from the analysis.) You will need to change the profile information on the site for each individual case study.
  7. Include at least two scholarly sources (i.e., New England Journal of Sports Medicine, American Journal of Sociology) in addition to your textbook to support your information. People Magazine, ESPN, Google.com are not scholarly sources. Cite sources in APA format. In-text citations and scholarly sources should be included in the discussion for each individual. (Cite sources after each individual discussion.) 
  8. Papers must be typed, double-spaced, and in 12" font.
