1. Introduction:  The introduction presents a brief background for the body of the paper. The introduction is not labeled as it is clearly identified by its position in the paper. A good introduction sets the stage for the rest of the paper in a paragraph or two. Example: “The profession of nursing continues to evolve and reflects the dynamic nature and interrelationship between the person/society, environment, health state, and nursing practice. The concepts of person, environment, health, and nursing are recognized and accepted by nursing scholars and the professional community as the foundation for individual and collective philosophies of nursing. My philosophy of nursing shall serve as my overall guiding framework for nursing practice and will be reviewed and revised annually as I continue to grow and develop throughout my education, experiences, and lifelong learning”.

2. Body of Paper: The body of the paper discusses established nursing theories along with your values, belief system, and attitudes regarding the key concepts of the nursing profession. Each concept should serve as the main theme for a separate paragraph.
