Instructions: diverse selection of diagnostic tests and assessment tools; however, different factors affect the validity and reliability of the results produced by these tests or tools. Nurses must be aware of these factors in order to select the most appropriate test or tool and to accurately interpret the results.

Not only do these diagnostic tests affect adults, body measurements can provide a general picture of whether a child is receiving adequate nutrition or is at risk for health issues. These data, however, are just one aspect to be considered. Lifestyle, family history, and culture—among other factors—are also relevant. That said, gathering and communicating this information can be a delicate process.

For this Assignment, you will  consider examples of children with various weight issues. You will explore how you could effectively gather information and encourage parents and caregivers to be proactive about their children’s health and weight.

  • Review this week’s Learning Resources and consider factors that impact the validity and reliability of various assessment tools and diagnostic tests. You also will review examples of pediatric patients and their families as it relates to BMI.
    • Based on the risks you might identify consider what further information you would need to gain a full understanding of the child’s health. Think about how you could gather this information in a sensitive fashion.
    • Consider how you could encourage parents or caregivers to be proactive toward the child’s health.

Instructions: quite often, nurse leaders are faced with ethical dilemmas, such as those associated with choices between competing needs and limited resources. resources are finite, and competition for those resources occurs daily in all organizations. for example, the use of 12-hour shifts has been a strategy to retain nurses. however, evidence suggests that as nurses work more hours in a shift, they commit more errors. how do effective leaders find a balance between the needs of the organization and the needs of ensuring quality, effective, and safe patient care? in this discussion, you will reflect on a national healthcare issue and examine how competing needs may impact the development of polices to address that issue. • reflect on the competing needs in healthcare delivery as they pertain to the national healthcare issue/stressor you previously examined. post an explanation of how competing needs, such as the needs of the workforce, resources, and patients, may impact the development of policy. then, describe any specific competing needs that may impact the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected. what are the impacts, and how might policy address these competing needs? be specific and provide examples.

The Use of Escape Room in Nursing Undergraduate Research Course

Subject: Quality Improvement in Education: Use of Escape Room as Evaluation Tool

Subject area: Nursing

Education Level: Masters Program

Length: 4 pages

Referencing style: APA

Preferred English: US English

Spacing Option: Double

Instructions: i am writing my capstone for msn and i need help since i have never written one before. see attached documents i have submitted for the past two weeks. the focus is for a quality improvement in education.

Focus: this project aims to analyze nursing students' knowledge and explore their opinion about using an online escape room game as an assessment tool to evaluate effectiveness in learning. this focused project is for quality improvement in education. the project was performed at a school of nursing for undergraduate students attending the online course: nursing research. the faculty teaching the course and i brainstormed various ways to make the class engaging, interesting, and effective. an escape room is an evidenced based and is one of the innovative strategies used in nursing education. what is an escape room? and why? gomez-urquiza et al. (2022) explained that escape room games are growing and used in health sciences education. various methods for effective learning are continuously changing. innovative ways aim to achieve and acquire learning through active participation, engagement, and hands-on experience and promote motivation and commitment in involving students to meet the desired learning outcomes (2022). an escape room is a game (live or virtual) where you are locked in a room with a specific objective and a time limit to escape. it can be done individually but may benefit if done as a group effort depending on the theme. the escape room can be made out of different rooms, and each room may have a different theme background with other objectives related to finding an object that may possess a clue/riddle or puzzle to solve. to escape, it is necessary to find things and clues using critical thinking and learning objectives to help the players move forward, solve the puzzle to unlock the rooms, and escape before the time ends.

Structure: i really have not written an evidence-based practice manuscript before. i need guidance to help me with the framework and format.

Important notes: method: before the escape room experience, students must go through a powerpoint lecture for module four: qualitative research with audio. students must complete a pre-survey online to test their prior knowledge and skills while participating in the escape room and play the game immediately afterward. the game has four escape rooms. each room represents the learning objectives for module four. the questions, riddles, or clues are formatted to achieve the students' learning goals. after the final escape room, the students are encouraged to complete a post-survey to evaluate their effectiveness in learning. rationale this focused project is for quality improvement in education. escape rooms are evidenced based practice and have been used by various fields and disciplines, especially in the academic arena. moore and campbell's (2021) study provided information that escape rooms are appealing, effective, and engaging to students. students developed critical insight and showed the importance of teamwork, communication, and collaboration (2021). another article about the escape room by reinkemeyer et al. (2022) discussed using innovative learning tools such as escape rooms, their barriers, and the implementation outcomes in the nursing curriculum. escape rooms have become a more popular teaching strategy in different fields and settings, including the academic world. escape rooms are an acceptable method and have been successfully used in nursing education. they are known to be effective. they improve knowledge in most educational topics. students and other allied healthcare professionals are very interested and highly engaged. however, gaps were identified in the study, which suggests that further research in this study needs to happen.
