Students falsify their work due to various reasons. First, some students fail to differentiate between appropriate help or collaboration and cheating. Some of the people that help students pose as tutors hence the students think they are being helped when they are cheating. Secondly, some students blame their cheating behavior on unfair teachers and unfair tests. Some students fail to read hence the tests become so challenging. Such students end-up cheating in the belief that the tests are unfair and extremely challenging. Thirdly, some students believe that they have an obligation to help their friends to pass their tests hence engage in malpractice in the belief that they are helping their colleagues (Rose and Chacko, 2019). Additionally, some students cheat due to extremely high expectations and the tests are at an extremely high stake. For example, if students are re-taking an exam, they might cheat to avoid failing again and risk discontinuation. Students might also be tempted to cheat due to extreme competition with other students. Some students also cheat as they believe that the risk of being caught is low. For example, if a student sees their colleagues cheating and not being caught, they might believe that the risk of being caught is low.

There are two major APA formatting issues that I have encountered which include referencing and incitation. Various literature materials including journal articles, books, magazines and websites are referenced in different ways hence creating a confusion. The citations for APA style are different from other styles including MLA and Harvard referencing. I mixed-up the citations in different instances. I overcame the challenges by following the formatting and referencing guidance provided in apastyle.apa.org. The website provides a detailed analysis of how to reference different secondary materials which I followed to correctly reference and cite my papers.
