1. Abbott Northwestern Hospital

3. Aspirus Wausau (Wis) Hospital

This hospital has a bed capacity of 325 beds with 350 doctors in 35 specialties. Aspirus Wausau services date back to 1886 when a physician and his wife started offering the service. It is especially famous for a cardiovascular program. During the earlier times, it was called a "ticket hospital" as people could buy a $10 ticket and receive care for a year. Construction of the entire hospital completed in 1979. It currently serves patients from 14 counties across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin. It has an inpatient daily census of 160 and 15,000 admissions a year. Aspirus Wausau serves over 50,000 patients outpatients a year with over 24,000 cases going to the emergency department.

Pitkin County Citizen’s Hospital Committee began the hospital in 1889 to provide health care to single working men working in dangerous occupations. Today, it works in collaboration with the famous Mayo Clinic enabling local doctors to access medical expertise at the Mayo’s clinic network. Aspen Valley was the first hospital that Mayo selected to join its network after considering the service, operational and quality criteria. It was also among the only four hospitals in Colorado to receive a 5-star rating from CMS. 5. Aurora St. Luke Medical Center –Milwaukee

This hospital is popular for its cardiac services. It is the only hospital in Wisconsin with an expert hears care team on site 24/7.
