IMMUNOTHERAPY TREATMENT IN FIGHTING BREAST CANCER
Women found in early stages of cancer tend to have high survival rates if found and treated quickly. What if the cancer cells spread to another part of the body? These led to an experiment by the researchers at the U.S. National Cancer Institute to issue an experimental treatment to some of the patients affected by this condition. The treatment, however, has been licensed to Gilead Sciences Inc. It will not be the first time that breast cancer has made headlines this week. Most of these results show a trend of people moving away from chemotherapy. Some only use it in smaller doses and for shorter periods.
